How to Sculpt a Pavé Teddy Bear in Rhino

A pavé teddy is sculpture first. The bear has to read as a bear before Auto Pavé touches it. If you pave a bad volume, you get a sparkly potato.
This walkthrough sculpts a pavé teddy bear in RhinoArtisan, on Rhino: SubD head and body, mirrored ears and paws, surfaces, Auto Pavé, prongs. About fifteen minutes if you follow the video.
What you leave with: a head, ears, a body, paws that match, surfaces Auto Pavé can read, stones that follow the fur planes, and prongs that hold. Pendant, charm, or the start of a pair of earrings — same order.
Sculpt the head
Block the skull in SubD. Round, simple, readable at jewelry size. Eyes and muzzle as volumes, not as a drawing on a sphere.
Walk around it. A head that only works from the front will die once it hangs.
Add the ears
One ear, then mirror. Sit them on the skull so they belong to the head, not like two cookies glued on. If the source ear is wrong, both will be wrong.
Build the body
The body is the other block. Proportion to the head (a teddy is mostly head). Keep it thick enough to take cutters later. A hollow cute bear that collapses in wax is not cute.
Attach the paws
Arms and feet as SubD, then mirror. The paws are how the bear sits or hangs. If they are too skinny, pavé will fall off the edges.
Check the joins at the shoulders and hips. Those are where sculpted charms go thin.
Prepare the pavé surfaces
Turn the sculpt into surfaces you would cast even without stones. Smooth enough for Auto Pavé, with walls that survive seats. Leave the nose or the pads in metal if you want a face, not a glitter ball.
If you would not print the bear bare, do not pave it.
Run Auto Pavé
Point Auto Pavé at those surfaces. Same stone size in a region. Stones follow the planes of the sculpt. If melee climbs over the muzzle and drowns in the belly, the surface is wrong. Fix the SubD. Do not scale a hundred gems.
Auto Pavé is fast because the bear already existed.
Prongs and render
Prongs or beads last. Then a render if you need to show the client. The render is not the design. The check is whether the bear still reads as a bear with stones on it.
Then stop. The last minute of the video is this pass: the charm you would send, not one more row because the tool was easy.
What to do next
Open the tutorial on YouTube and sculpt the head once. Then the body, then Auto Pavé. Change the pose and keep the same order. The second time is when a teddy stops being a toy in the viewport and becomes a piece of jewelry.
