The teardrop is one of jewelry’s most enduring silhouettes — soft, weighted, endlessly flattering — and modeling one well means getting a single revolved profile to read as effortless from every angle. There are no flat faces to hide behind; the whole form lives or dies on the curve you sweep around the axis. In this project you’ll draw that profile from two circles and a pair of blended arcs, revolve it into a solid teardrop, then bury the surface in pavé and hang it from a graduated-gem bail — closing with a client-ready render straight out of RhinoArtisan Connect.

Design an emerald teardrop pendant using RhinoArtisan.
In this tutorial you will learn how to:
- Draw the reference circles, Blend tangent profile curves and mirror them, then Revolve the trimmed and 0.7 mm-offset outline 360° into a capped teardrop solid.

- Extract the surface and dress it with Automatic Pave at 1.3 and 1.0 mm under Vertical Symmetry, then secure every stone with prongs and cutters.

- Carve the seats with Boolean Difference, set a 2.5 mm center stone in a hand-tuned Basket, and pipe connecting rings at 0.25 mm.

- Add the BL016 bail with six graduated gems and Dynamic Prongs, then apply materials and render a client-ready presentation in RhinoArtisan Connect.

By the end of this project, you’ll have the skills to model and render a pavé-set teardrop pendant from scratch.
