An eternity ring hides its difficulty in plain sight: eleven identical stones marching around an unbroken band, where a fraction of a millimeter of drift anywhere shows up as a crooked line everywhere. The craft is all in the setup — measured curves, exact offsets, and arrays that repeat without wobble. In this project you’ll build a single sapphire and its guide curves to the hundredth, multiply the pattern eleven times with polar arrays, then carve a continuous diamond channel, hollow the band, and set every stone with dynamic prongs.

Design a sapphire eternity ring using RhinoArtisan.
In this tutorial you will learn how to:
- Build the reference curves and set an oval sapphire, then multiply stones and guides around the band with Quick Polar Array into eleven evenly spaced copies.

- Shape a Classic shank and carve arc-based cutouts around it, subtracting eleven polar-arrayed extrusions with Boolean Difference.

- Offset a 0.25 mm diamond channel into the band and hollow the ring with an edited inner shank that stays clear of every girdle.

- Fill the channel with ManualPave, secure each stone with Dynamic Prongs, and finish with cutters and an optional 0.15 mm fillet pass for softer renders.

By the end of this project, you’ll have the skills to build a channel-set sapphire eternity ring from scratch.
