Two pear-cut diamonds facing each other is a design that only works if the symmetry is flawless — the eye reads the smallest imbalance instantly when the stones mirror across an open shank. The trick is to keep everything parametric, so both sides stay tied to the same editable curves right up to the final cut. In this project you’ll split and rotate the shank into its crossed gesture, cradle each pear in a hand-tuned basket, carve pavé channels into the arms, and edge them with millgrain for a finished, jewel-house look.

Design a dual pear diamond ring using RhinoArtisan.
In this tutorial you will learn how to:
- Split a size 14 ring curve, rotate the halves ±9.75° and Pull them onto a reference surface, then dress the open shank with Profile 012 shank profiles.

- Set a 5 mm pear in a hand-tuned Basket with Asset 003 rails and Mirror Opposite it so both stones face each other.

- Blend and Project channel guides onto the arms and carve the gem grooves with a 0.2 mm inward Push and Pull.

- Set graduated Pave from 1.6 down to 1.1 mm with prongs, edge the channels with Mill Grain, and mirror everything before the final boolean.

By the end of this project, you’ll have the skills to design a fully parametric dual-pear ring from scratch.
