6. Model the ears and mirror them
Another sphere becomes the ear: faces extruded inward for the cup, thinned from the Side view, positioned with every view as witness. Mirror from 0 (Shift + top point in the Right view) for its twin, then move both to the body’s layer and lock it.

7. Create the shank and convert it to Sub-D
Classic shank without preset, scaled with the Gumball from the Front view: lower profile height, side profile width, all profiles Solid, and the opening set to Cutting at the reference measurement (16 in the example). Accept, then Quad Remesh it to SubD — higher edge length for fewer faces — keeping the original hidden as backup.

8. Join the head and shank, then unify the model
Fit the union area carefully — the smoother the overlap, the cleaner the result. Remove the head’s symmetry (Reflect > Remove), Boolean Union everything, and Quad Remesh the combined model with a low measure to preserve detail (X symmetry if useful). If the union isn’t smooth, refine or delete edges in the SubD result.
