7. Place gems along the curve
Open Advanced Gems on Curve and add the outer curve and the surface to their selectors: distance between gems 0.45 mm, alignment Center, starting gem size 3 and quantity 10. If the gems land on the wrong side, switch alignment to End; if the curve is inverted, rotate it 180° and Update. Accept once the 3 mm gem sits where it should.
8. Ungroup gems and prepare the basket reference
Ungroup the gems from the middle-mouse shortcut menu, park the reference surface on a hidden layer, and select the top gem. Diamond > Basket, then Edit without a preset.
9. Configure the basket prongs and rails
Switch Prongs Mode to Claw and deactivate the Top Rail for visibility. Prong parameters: diameter 1.23 mm, height 2.75 mm, over girdle 0.45 mm, gem inside 0.15 mm, bottom diameter 1.13 mm, bottom rail inside 0.40 mm. Claw parameters: gem inside 0.87, height −0.45, with tip direction at 15 and smoothness at 10.
10. Customize the rail profile and finalize the basket
Set the rail Mode to Custom with Profile 004: width 0.53 mm, height 1.79 mm, rotation 15, gem size percentage 75. Accept, and use Zoom Extents All to fit the model in every viewport.
