5. Create the central gem path curves

Measure the distance between a point and its perpendicular projection on the opposite curve with Analyze, and divide by two to place the centerline. For the lower section, Explode the curves to keep only the useful segments, and simplify with Fit before moving on.

6. Place gemstones along the wing curves

With the surface temporarily hidden, run Gems on Curve along the centerline: stone size about 1.35 mm with 0.20 mm spacing, using the surface as orientation reference. Repeat on the other curve, tighten the spacing if the layout needs it, and end each curve with a single prong for a clean finish.

7. Build the inner butterfly body and mirror the model

Trace the inner body curves, close them, surface them and lower them by 2 mm, then extrude the surface upward by 1.5 mm. Select all the geometry and Mirror it along the Y axis — half the butterfly was all you ever needed to draw.

8. Add decorative inner curves and convert them to solid pipes

Draw the inner decorative details with the Curve command — longer sections first, then the small ones — making sure every line connects back to the central curve. Turn the curves into decorative solids with Pipe using round ends, and clear the leftover guides.
